Coach Excursions and Transfer services temporarily resume on Wednesday 4th October as pay negotiation talks take a step in the right direction.
The workers unions have opted to suspend transport strikes that were taking place in Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura following meetings and discussions on 3rd October.
After presentation of a proposal that sees annual price increases up to 2027, along with a 40 hour week for discretionary transport workers (Excursions, Transfers etc) ,the decision was made to suspend the strike for today, Wednesday 4th October.
Strikes for Coach workers were planned for the 2nd, 4th, 7th , 9th, 11th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 23rd, 25th and 28th October.
Talks are ongoing and the outcome of which will determine the fate of the remains strike days planned for the rest of the month.
Reports from the Timanfaya National Park yesterday suggested up to a two hour wait for the coach tour around the lunar route, due to a reduction in the number of coaches operating.
