November 2023 was a great month for The Canary Islands as airports recorded a total of 4.3 million passengers for the month, an increase of 7.5% from November 2022.
César Manrique Airport in Lanzarote welcomed 688,255 passengers, an 8.9% increase on the same month in 2022. This resulted in a year to date total of 7,510,078 passengers for Lanzarote, a 12.1% rise compared to the same period in the previous year.
Canary Island Airports, including Gran Canaria, Tenerife South, Tenerife North-Ciudad de La Laguna, César Manrique-Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, El Hierro, and La Gomera reported record passenger numbers for both November and the year to date totals, contributing to a total number of passengers for the Canary Islands in the month of November of 4,300,136 (up 7.5% from November 2022) and a huge year to date figure of 43,976,856 reflecting an 11.8% growth on 2022.
Out of the total recorded passengers for November 2023 across all Canary Island Airports, 4,272,700 were commercial.
2,720,484 passengers across the airports were on international flights, resulting in a 10.3% increase from 2022 and a rise of 4.1% was seen on domestic flights totalling 1,552,216.
In total, in November there were 38,935 aircraft movements in the Canary Islands, a 5.9% increase when compared to 2022.
