Direct Flights from Tenerife South Airport to Newark International, New York, will resume this Friday 9th June and run until the end of September.
The six hour and 50 minute flights, operated by United Airlines will run three times a week from Newark on Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays and the returning flights will depart Tenerife on Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays.
Following a successful year first year of operation, at 90% occupancy, if the route is as successful in 2023 it could open the possibility of a year round service in 2024.
The success of the service, which started back in June 2022, has led to investigation into the possibility of further flights from Canada, and further afield including the Middle East, Korea and India, as The Canary Islands works hard to open up as a destination for tourists around the globe.
The flights from Newark to Tenerife are currently advertised at around $1,213 on the United Airlines website.
