Lanzarote takes to the sky

Air Europa have added the words "Lanzarote. A unique island" to the livery of one of their Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

A collaboration between Air Europa and SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote has seen the name and slogan "Lanzarote. A Unique Island" added to the fuselage of one of its Boeing 787 Dreamliner planes.

The president of the cabildo, and Minister of Tourism for the island, has announced that the intention is to help ´promote the image of Lanzarote and the brand values associated with the main international airports to improve the promotion and positioning of the island in premium destination markets'. This isn't the first time an Air Europa plane has displayed Lanzarote branding. In March 2023 they revealed a 737 aircraft with the words ´Cesar Manrique. Lanzarote´ under the cockpit.

In relation to the performance and efficiency of the Dreamliner, which consumes 20% less fuel and generates fewer carbon emissions that other aircraft, the Cabildo of Lanzarote also felt the association was a good fit with their drive to create a green, suistanable island and healthy environment for tourists and locals.
