The supermarket chain Lidl has applied for a license to open a new store in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote.
The popular chain currently has three stores in Lanzarote located in Arrecife, Playa Honda and Puerto del Carmen.
The request for a new store on Calle Piteras would be a convenience for both locals and holidaymakers and if granted would see an opening date of end of 2024 / early 2025.
The news follows the approval by the Yaiza Ayuntamiento for the opening of a Lidl supermarket in Playa Blanca back in February 2023.
Lidl currently has 32 stores across five of the Canary Islands with a target of 43 to be operational by 2024.
