The fourth Primark Store in the Canary Islands is due to open its doors tomorrow, 22nd June 2023, in the Open Mall shopping centre in Arrecife.
After years of speculation that a Primark Store would come to the island, it was announced that one would be opening in the new open air shopping centre in the capital, but as the centre opened to the public Primark was still a few months behind.
Residents, and fans of Primark, in Lanzarote will be excited as previously many would island-hop to Gran Canaria to visit their favourite store where as they can now shop locally.
What is Primark?
Primark was founded in 1969 in Ireland, under the name Penneys. The aim of the company is to provide affordable clothing, beauty , homeware and accessories to everyone. There are currently three Primark stores in The Canary Islands, with two in Gran Canaria and one in Tenerife and as of 22nd June 2023, the fourth store opens in Lanzarote.
Where is Primark in Lanzarote?
The new Lanzarote Primark Store can be found in the Open Mall shopping centre in Arrecife. Open Mall can be found at Calle Leon y Castillo, 156 and is just minutes away from the main Arrecife Bus Station and Cruise Ship Terminal. The 70,000 square foot shopping centre is open 365 days a year and home to some well known brands such as Springfield, Women's Secret, Worten, Fund Grube and now Primark.
