Renovation work, as part of a €320,000 contract, is to get underway in Terminal One at the César Manrique Airport in Lanzarote.
The work will see updates and improvements to the areas connecting the aircraft docking bridges with the passenger luggage collection hall, and includes new lighting, ceilings and sanitary areas.
New imagery will also be installed in passenger areas depicting famous landmarks of both Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
In 2023 The César Manrique Airport saw 8,212,943 passengers pass through Terminals 1 and 2, an increase of 11.7% compared to 2022. The Terminal One renovations are part of a larger project to help increase the capacity to 10 million (currently 9 million) and join the two terminals together post security to allow everyone to enjoy the commercial facilities flight side.
The renovations will be carried out in the early hours to avoid disruption to passengers.
