251,568 tourists visited Lanzarote in June 2024, compared to 241,359 in the same month in 2023.
Touristic visitor numbers in Lanzarote were up by 10,209 (4.3%) in June 2024 compared to the same month in 2023. Unsurprisingly the British Visitors led the way with 139,045, followed by the Irish (31,516) and Spanish (25,652).
Despite visitor numbers rising, figures compiled by the Canarian Institute of Statistics have shown that tourist spending per day across all islands has only risen marginally to an average of €162.90 in the 2nd quarter of 2024. This amount also includes the increased cost of flights and marginal increase in accommodation prices. The amount spent on daily shopping was just €4.50 and eating out just shy of €24 per person per day.
