The Playa Blanca Spoon Returns!

In an epic twist to the missing Playa Blanca Spoon saga, a new spoon has been spotted in its place.

The 21/07/2023 marked a dark day in the history of Playa Blanca, as the legendary spoon in concrete was removed from it's place on the promenade. Whilst the question of who actually removed the Playa Blanca spoon remains unanswered, to the delight of holiday-makers it appears a team of local businessmen have taken it upon themselves to replace the spoon.

The disappearance sparked outrage on Social Media from people who had scheduled time into their holiday to search for the item of cutlery. However, not everyone was angered by it's removal, with others saying the fascination had become a bore and they were sick of seeing photos of toes appearing on their social media news feeds.

Although a different spoon, tourists will be delighted that they can, once again, use the spoon as an opportunity to take pictures of their open ended sandals and post them online for everyone to see.

The story of the original spoon remains a mystery, although it is thought it was simply left by a worker during the construction of the promenade or nearby hotel, however the origin of the new spoon is a little less of a secret.
