If you're joining us here on the island in August 2024 then youre in for a treat or two. As well as the usual markets and great trips, tours and activities, August is a big month for Fiestas including the Fiestas del Carmen, San Bartolomè, San Ginès and San Roque 2024 and some amazing concerts and music events.

Fiestas de nuestra señora del Carmen

Fiestas de Nuestra Señora del Carmen, also known as the Festival of Our Lady of Carmen, is a significant cultural and religious event celebrated in Lanzarote. This festival is dedicated to Our Lady of Carmen, the patron saint of fishermen and the sea. There are a number of planned events between 29th July and 11 August that everyone is welcome to attend.

Sun Run Costa Teguise

Did you know there is a charity Sun Run on Costa Teguise every Saturday? Starting on the Costa Teguise Promenade at 9am, whether you want to Run, Jog or Walk you're welcome to come along.

Lagomar Sunset Groove

Chillout an relax to the sunset groove in the stunning surroundings of Lagomar. Every Sunday from 6pm to 11pm.

Fiesta San Bartolomé

Fiesta de San Bartolomé is another significant cultural and religious celebration on the island, dedicated to Saint Bartholomew, the patron saint of the town of San Bartolomé. This festival showcases the rich traditions and communal spirit of the local population. Events take place throughout August.

Fiesta San Gines Arrecife

Another important religious fiesta in Lanzarote, where residents take to the streets to carry a statue of San Ginés whilst saying prayers, singing hymns, and music.

Fiestas San Roque

If you're still not satisfied with your fix of religious festivals then head to Tinajo for Fiesta San Roque celebrations. Fiesta de San Roque is dedicated to Saint Roch (San Roque), who is venerated as a protector against plagues and diseases. Events occur between 9th and 17th of August

Festival of Rock de San Ginès

If Rock music is your thing then check out the Festival of Rock de San Ginès with artists from all around the Canary Islands including Lanzarotes very own Drûpe, Ajeeb, John Doe and Everybody. Other groups include Neomaniac (Tenerife), Malamute (Gran Canaria), Subresidious (Gran Canaria) and The Offenders, all the way from Germany.
