Submarine Safaris operate the only real submarine in Lanzarote. Seating 52 people and diving to depths of 30m it provides, for many, a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience life under the ocean in the safety of a pressurised cabin. Explore the paradise of the world under the ocean and discover many species of fish and marine life during this hours dive. A submarine dive tour guide is on hand to provide live commentary and answer any questions about the submarine, or any marine life you see or hope to see!

Submarine Safaris will collect your from or close to your accommodation
The Lanzarote submarine departs from Puerto Calero, so the first part of the day includes collecting you from, or very near to, your accommodation. Once all the guests are on the air conditioned coach it will head to Puerto Calero where you can board the yellow submarine.
Check in at Submarine Safaris office in Puerto Calero
Once you arrive in Puerto Calero the first point of call is the Submarine Safaris office, where you'll check in for your dive. You'll also be able to watch a short clip of the submarine. Did you know...? The Submarine in Lanzarote is one of only 15 commercial diving submarines in the world!
Boarding the Submarine in Lanzarote
After checking in, guests will then start the boarding procedure. Find a seat on the submarine and make yourself comfy! In order the board the yellow submarine you must climb down a very small set of ladders.
Your dive on the Lanzarote submarine
The first thing you'll experience once onboard the submarine is the descent. The submarine will descend to a maximum of 100ft (30m) where you will get to see some of the most amazing marine life. You can monitor the descent through your window or on the small computer screen.

As you dive deeper into the ocean you'll start to experience an array of colourful marine life swimming past your window. Watch out for two shipwrecks which are teeming with activity and marine life. On board the guide who speaks your language will point out anything of interest and talk to you about the different species of fish and coral formations you will see.

Once the submarine hits 30m you'll be on the sea bed. The submarine will settle here before being engulfed in amazing sea life and activity. Keep an eye out here for the local stingray, Juanita! She's a bit of a celebrity around these parts.

Submarine Safaris have dives everyday and throughout the day but as there are only 52 seats on the submarine spaces are limited.
