Looking for Lanzarote waterparks near me?

There are two main waterparks in Lanzarote, well if you count the animal and splash park then you could say there are three Lanzarote waterparks.

The main two parks are Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca. The Playa Blanca Aquapark is open all year round whilst The Aquapark in Costa Teguise closes from November until April.

Aqualava Lanzarote waterpark Playa Blanca

Aqualava is the newest of the Lanzarote waterparks and the most modern, it is a perfect family day out as the park is small meaning parents can relax while the kids have fun. When we say small they still have 5 huge slides, a lazy river, and the only wave pool in Lanzarote so as waterparks in Lanzarote go it has everything to keep you entertained for a full day.

What are the rides and slides at Aqualava waterpark in Lanzarote?

There is one main area for the larger slides at Aqualava for people 1.2 meters and above, these include fast slides in the dark and a huge spiral slide which is so much fun. This area is named after the island's volcanoes and is called Timan Fire slides. There are 5 slides in total and two of them you slide down on the inflatable rings that are provided either in pairs or solo.

Slides for smaller kids at this waterpark in Lanzarote

Aqualava is ideal for those with smaller children as there is a whole area if they are too small (below 1.2 meters) to enjoy the larger slide area. This huge area is called Corsario Bay and has small slides, massive splash areas, and a whole shallow pool for the kids. Don't forget Aqualava also has a lazy river and a wave pool which also has no height limit so is perfect for all ages.

Do Lanzarote waterparks have wave pools?

The Aqualava beach is exactly that and is the only wave pool in Lanzarote, every hour everyone rushed to the Aqualava beach to catch the waves and bob around. It's the perfect way to have fun between all the slides and other activities.

The Magma River or lazy river at the Playa Blanca waterpark

Again exclusive to Aqualava is the lazy river, grab a float in doubles or singles, lie back, and let the current take you all the way around the park as you top up your tan and chill on the Magma river at Aqualava.

The closest you will get to heated pools in a Lanzarote waterpark

Aqualava is the only waterpark in Lanzarote that opens all year round, in the winter months the water can be cold but here it is heated by the sun, which makes this also the only Lanzarote waterpark with slightly heated water. Now don't expect to be getting into super warm water it is still a bit cold, especially in the winter but the system they have in place certainly takes the edge off.

The restaurants and facilities at the Playa Blanca waterpark Lanzarote

Lockers are rentable for around €5 a day to keep everything safe, there are changing rooms and shower facilities, and also an amazing restaurant serving delicious meals, snacks, and drinks throughout the day at very reasonable prices so you won't go without.

Aqualava free bus from Costa Teguise and Puerto Del Carmen

If you are not in Playa Blanca but want to visit the Aqualava waterpark do not worry as three days a week there is a free return bus. Just select the bus when booking and TravelON World will send you the pick-up point and location for your day out at the Aqualava Lanzarote waterpark.

Costa Teguise Aquapark is the biggest waterpark in Lanzarote

In Costa Teguise you will find the Lanzarote Aquapark, this is the oldest most established waterpark on the island, and it is also the biggest. It opens from April until November so is closed in the winter months, There is a pickup service available for the Aquapark from Puerto Del Carmen and Playa Blanca so just select the bus option on booking.

Biggest slides and rides at the Lanzarote Aquapark waterpark

With this being the biggest waterpark in Lanzarote as expected you get the most slides and rides, there are many attractions for smaller kids but most of the slides at the Aquapark waterpark Costa Teguise are around 1.2 to 1.4 meters in height to ride them.

The only Lanzarote waterpark with a Kamikaze

Climb the steps and they just seem to keep going but when you get to the top you see views all over this waterpark in Lanzarote. Don't look down as you might change your mind when you see the sheer drop of the kamikaze slide at the Aquapark Lanzarote!

How tall do you have to be to ride at the Costa Teguise Lanzarote water park?

At this Lanzarote waterpark, most of the bigger rides are for 1.2 meters or above, there are some smaller slides for smaller children but we feel the best park for smaller kids is the Aqualava in Playa Blanca. You can however enjoy these attractions at this waterpark in Costa Teguise.

There are lockers on-site and changing rooms, there is of course a restaurant at this waterpark and the prices are very reasonable. All in all a day out at the Costa Teguise waterpark is well worth it and really good value for money. They pick up from all resorts and if you are staying in Costa Teguise just select a direct ticket through the TravelON booking site and to can skip the line at the entrance.

Not really a waterpark in Lanzarote but this is a top day out!

At Rancho Texas, you get the best of both worlds as not only can you enjoy a full day out at this incredible animal park with all the shows and attractions, but it also has its own mini Lanzarote waterpark. There are two huge slides, a splash zone for the kids, and a giant swimming pool and chill area making this park certainly in the Lanzarote waterpark category.
