Palacio Insular de Tenerife
Palacio Insular de Tenerife (Insular Palace of Tenerife) is the home of the governing body of the island. One of the major monuments in the city, Triunfo de la Candelaria, also known as Obelisco de la Candelaria, can be found at Plaza de la Candelaria, which is a square in Santa Cruz. The sculpture is a homage to the Virgin of Candelaria, which is the patron saint of the Canary Islands. During Fiestas de Mayo in the month of May, locals flock here to offer flowers at the foot of the structure.
