If walking or driving from Puerto del Carmen you might not realise that you enter Matagorda as the two places tend to merge into each other. If you're coming west from the airport Matagorda is the first resort you will come across and is the place where many people plane spot on the beach at the end of the runway. Whilst often referred to as Puerto del Carmen, it is in fact it's own place with plenty to offer holidaymakers and tourists.

2. Is Matagorda the right Lanzarote resort for you?
